Ontario Health Insurance Plan limitations. |
Our provincial health insurance plan covers only essential medical services.
Although often necessary and quite common, the following services are not covered under OHIP:

Services rendered by health professionals other than general practitioners or medical specialists (chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncturist, etc.).

Eye care for individuals between 20 and 64 years of age, including eye glasses and contact lenses.
