Coverage
Coverage is for an unlimited number of trips per year (maximum of 30 days per trip).
Benefits
Full benefit details are listed in the
policy provided by Ontario Blue Cross to the policyholder. The
policy contains important information concerning details, terms,
conditions and limitations. Please read your description of
benefits upon receipt.
Emergency Transportation Expenses
• Repatriation to the Mision Site,
including air ambulance to a maximum of $60,000 for the entire
duration of the contract
• Subsistence allowance up to $1,000 per day for a maximum of
$10,000. The covered period may not exceed
20 days
CanAssistance Travel Assistance Benefit
• 24-hour / 7 days a week Travel Assistance
service
CanAssistance Medical Services
• Direction to an appropriate
clinic or hospital
• Follow-up of medical file and contact with family
physician
• Co-ordination of safe return home
CanAssistance General Services
• Transmission of urgent
messages
• Interpretation services
• Referral to legal counsel
• General travel information
Coverage criteria
Coverage is available only to Canadian Foreign Service employees and their dependents assigned to a Canadian mission abroad.

Family coverage includes unlimited
number of children under the age of 21 and living at home or under
the age of 25 and attending an educational institution on a
full-time registered basis.
A notice of renewal will be sent by Ontario Blue Cross one month
prior to the expiration date of the contract.
