1. Why can't I send my application via E-mail? |
For security reasons. Some countries forbid the encryption of information. The transfer of personal information, especially for credit cards, is not secured.

2. What do I do if I have any questions about my contract? |
Send us your question by e-mail on our Web page or contact our customer service at: 416-626-1688 ext. 2448. Please allow 48 hours for a response via e-mail.

3. How long will it take to receive my policy? |
Approximately two weeks from receipt of the application by Ontario Blue Cross however we will send you a confirmation via e-mail with your policy number, 48 hours from receipt of your application.

4. What number should I call if I have an emergency while on circuitous travel? |
In an emergency, contact CanAssistance within Canada and the U.S at 1-800-361-6068, or elsewhere in the world, collect at 514-286-8411. All pertinent information will be included in the detailed policy you will receive once your application has been processed.

5. What do I do if I am on cross posting? |
It is your responsibility to notify Ontario Blue Cross of any changes of address, and the date of arrival at new posting. Simply send the pertinent information to Ontario Blue Cross via e-mail; be sure to indicate your policy number.

6. If I have incurred an expense and paid for the charge up front, how do I claim reimbursement? |
All expenses must be approved by Canassistance. In order to submit a travel claim you may call Canassistance anytime at: 1-800-361-6068 or send an Email to: travelclaims@canassistance.com. Please indicate the nature of your claim so that the appropriate claim form can be sent to you. When submitting your claim please provide your full name, your policy number and your address (postal and/or EMail).
