Entry to USA: as from January 31, 2008 proper ID documents required
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) is a U.S. law that will require all travellers, including U.S. and Canadian citizens, to present a valid passport or other secure document when travelling to the United States from within the western hemisphere. Since January 23, 2007 Canadians travelling to the United States by air must have a valid passport. This measure will be effective also to travels by car or boat as of January 31, 2008. Be prepared and obtain the proper ID or entry to United States will be refused.
