It is important to be well informed about your destination

CanAssistance can help with the loss of identification,
traveller’s cheques and other important documents. Our
representatives can assist you in contacting your financial
institution and the nearest embassy to have new documents issued
promptly, so you can continue your trip.

situations. Our assistance coordinators are fluent in a number of
languages and through our simultaneous translation service; we are

need assistance in explaining your situation to local officials, we

Accident or legal problem

Trip interruption

family return home as quickly as possible. In some cases you may
qualify for a refund of premiums or package deal. Our claim

Return of a vehicle
If you are physically unable to drive due to an accident or sudden
illness, CanAssistance will take care of the return of your

Post-return Assistance
Blue Cross is the only travel insurer to provide you
with medical follow-up in Canada. If you are hospitalized
abroad and repatriated by CanAssistance, you may qualify for a
reimbursement for the following fees upon return to your province
of residence, for up to 15 days:
