The Foreign Worker Visitors to Canada plan provides up to $100,000 in quality insurance coverage for non-Canadians working in Canada. This plan is available to Foreign Workers aged 69 or younger and is ideal for a worker who is not eligible for group coverage as a result of not being enrolled in the provincial health plan.

Benefits include coverage for Emergency Medical Care expenses including hospital accommodation, doctor’s bills, medical appliances, private registered nurse, laboratory tests, emergency prescription drugs, accidental dental care, ambulance service including air ambulance, emergency flight back to the residence when medically necessary, emergency vehicle return, subsistence allowance, repatriation services and the ultimate security of CanAssistance Emergency Travel Assistance.

In order to be eligible for the Foreign Worker Visitors to Canada plan, individuals are required to have successfully completed the necessary medical test required by the Canadian government and are required to have proof of active employment during the period of coverage.

This plan must be purchased prior to arrival in Canada or within the first 30 days of arrival in Canada. It is available for trips of up to 365 days in Canada.

This plan may be subject to a 72 hour waiting period if purchased after arrival in Canada.
